Charmaine’s professional background is as an Internationally Reputable Artist, Certified Art Therapist, Registered Therapeutic  Counsellor and Kundalini Yoga & Meditation teacher. She is trained in a variety of modalities that can be used in session like Integrative Body Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Trauma Informed Polyvagal Expressive Arts, Focussing Oriented Art Therapy and many others. The work depends on what clients need. 

Helping people find a personalized route to healing through trauma-informed art psychotherapy, mindfulness, yoga and body focused somatic approaches is the foundation of her work.  Believing that true and lasting healing lives within every individual, the work she does focuses on one’s inner strength, power and innate capacity to thrive beyond difficult experiences in life.  

Charmaine’s Art Therapy and Counselling practice, Centre of the Heart supports clients both in person and online. 

Her current research passions are in Neuroplasticity, Neuroscience, Epigenetics, Mystical/ Psychedelic Integration and Intergenerational Trauma. She is currently writing a book and offering online courses and programs.  

Charmaine feels fortunate to have had art, creativity and a strong connection to spirit be such a large part of her journey and as an Art Therapist and Counsellor, she revels in how these modalities work to change and support the lives of others.
